Growing up and attending college in North Carolina, Adtresa knew it was not in her destiny to be a “small town” girl her entire life. In 2010, she ventured north to New York to follow her love for the art of fashion. Finding her niche wasn’t instantaneous however; for the first year, the [then 22year old] made her bed on her cousin’s couch and worked in retail while attending “NYSD” (New York School Of Design) and applying to various internships. Eventually, her persistence paid off, and after a brief stint interning for Showroom Seven in 2011, Edmundson began assisting and working with several NY based Fashion Stylist which included Andrew Zumbo, Cameron Carpentor and Celebrity Stylist Derek Warburton. While working under Derek she became the Assistant Style Editor for Bella Magazine.
Since then her work has been published in Zink Magazine, Vanidades,Miami Living, L’Official, WestEast Magazine and Elle Malaysia to name a few. She’s styled Rock’N Roll Hall of Famer Darlene Love of the Academy Award Winning Documentary “20feet From Stardom”, and Actress Yolonda Ross of the Lifetime Movie BioPic “Whitney”, John Sayles “Go For Sisters” and Denzel Washington’s “Antwone Fisher” She’s also styled alternative rock and Soul group “Men In My Head” music video for “Survivor Tree” which charted #1 on Billboard Hot 100 Single Charts for 16 weeks.
